The downtime during the IHRA race was excessive.

You have to understand that this was their 1st race under the new owner and format. I will bet that the second race will be a lot more streamlined and also the rain didn't help matters.

It gave me flashbacks of racing there at the Spring Nationals in the 70's. Only thing missing was the Thrush Track Dryer.
We've become spoiled by the newer technology and methods of the Big show.
I do think that they could've done better on getting the next pr of cars up to the startup area, so when they got the all clear signs they were ready to fire
