Any speculation on RWR crew chief pick for Schumacher?

Costello just said yesterday that Rick Ware had hired a crew chief for Schumacher. I thought Jim-O was going to run both cars, but it looks like they’re bringing in someone new. Any thoughts? Nicky Boninfante, or will he stay with Clay? John-O from Kalitta/JR Todd car would be a logical one.

I’d go after the Scrappers guys, unless Mike is keeping the top guys on payroll for now while the car is parked? I haven’t seen them with any other teams yet.

Hmm. I hadn’t thought in that direction, that’s a damn good idea.

I think the funding was set before the deal was announced. It’s taking some time to get everything put together. It’s my understanding they bought a truck/trailer from JFR and are getting things ready.

I think Tobler and Jim O are pretty tight but not sure he's ready to give up his free time. He still helps out several part timers

In my experience, the way these things usually go is that everyone develops a thought on who they really believe it is. And then when the announcement comes, it blows everybody away because
1. it’s someone nobody’s ever heard of
2. someone that they never even believed would be in this role,usually for worse.

Hopefully I’m wrong. I’m subscribing to the Flynn hypothesis.
