Del gets his first qualifying effort tossed because the timing system failed... again. What happened to those "major upgrades" that were supposed to happen after the Winternationals in 2013?!

There will always be bugs in electronics. Doesn't matter about upgrades. Glitches can't be planned for.

We are prisoners in this modern world. The other day I scanned a box of cereal at the store, paid for a pot roast. Yesterday I couldn't get gas at my usual station cuz the internet was down. Cash only and I didn't have any on me.

Sometimes "stuff" happens and zero defects is not reality.

I'm still amazed any electronics work nearby a TF dragster with dual 44 amp mags and all that vibration.....

Not sure if it is done with copper or fiber optics. The latter would definitely eliminate electromagnetic interference. I think this is why they use fiber optic for the crank pickups on top fuel cars

I thought perhaps they laid the headers WAYY back. :D Chad Head says they got cheated on the national record, no back up necessary!

It cost so much money to put a fuel car down the track that I am amazed the system doesn't have a built in back up.
