Team Frantic Ford has charted a course of attack that will afford us the opportunity to campaign two completely separate funny car teams for the upcoming season and beyond. While one team will primarily focus on running at a regional level, the other team will be competing nationally on a much larger stage.
Frantic Ford colors will be a 1977 Mustang II bodied machine that will focus on running a regional schedule for the upcoming season at various venues located primarily in the east. Driving chores for the low slung beast will be handled by George Reidnauer. After careful consideration and watching George develop his skills as an owner/driver, it was decided that he was the perfect fit for their new program. Much of next season will see the car compete as an alcohol fueled machine before turning our sights to the world of nitromethane racing. Having George gain valuable seat time early on next season will allow the team the time needed to secure the necessary financial backing to move forward to the next level of competition.
