It is done on the Pro show from time to time when they are rushed for the same reason. I get it. I just don't like it when I'm paying close attention to a run, then hear the result before they cross the finish line. I usually know results of a Sportsman show well before it airs.

I understand what you're saying. The old way was to pick 2 or three runs from round 1 and just show them. It was decided (I think correctly) that it would be better to condense the runs and show them all in highlight format so every car and run was shown. That means we had to compromise on time per run but they do all make air.

I don't mind 1st round recap, as long as you see each race. I didn't like when another ESPN program would run over into our time and then round 1 was gone and round 2 might be recapped....

I guess I'm old. It's on TV. What was that Castrol GTX Hotline 900 number with Dave McClelland back in the day? $2 a minute to hear the results.

Personally, I think that Brian Lohnes has been a great addition to all of the broadcasting. He speaks really well, doesn't seem to stumble, and knows what he's speaking of.

Randy, I remember making that phone call on March 20,1992. History has been made! Kenny Bernstein has run 301.70 mph.
Great memory.
