Because if you're a "low budget" team and you don't run a top 12 ET it gets thrown out anyway? Why not wait until Saturday if there is a short field or only 16 cars?
true plus Saturday is closer to Sunday conditions. If you are limited in tuning runs then a Saturday pass gives you a better shot at making some noise on Sunday
By my count there were only 278 cars on property. There are sportsman National Opens that get almost 2x the cars.Actually prices are coming down. Oil and refined gas have tanked the past week and the street is coming down.
To the topic of this thread, Denver car counts are horrific. I am not sure how much the elevation has to do with it, but this isn't a good sign. Before I pass further judgment stating the end is near I will wait and see what the car counts look like in Sonoma.
Denver requires completely different hardware in the engine for the PS teams because of the altitude. Unless you are shooting for a top 16 why spend the money on rods, pistons, R&D, etc. for one weekend if you are already watching your budget.
