Did you happen to catch Shirley's little comment that "if she had REAL food poisoning, there's no way she'd be in the car today?" I have the utmost respect for all that Shirley has done and accomplished, but I have a real hard time listening to her and her bitterness today.

Yes I caught it. She also had a jab at Angie. When talking about her championships she said I didn't have anyone shutting off for me either.
You're right, she is so bitter, a chip on her shoulder the size of a mountain, it's a shame.

Shirley is and always was a classless bit%h and she will remein so until her last day. On her best day she makes the wicked witch of the east look like the good fairy godmother compared to her.

It's to bad she doesn't know how to tone it down. I did notice that the next time the topic of Alexis came up she, or at least her mike, was silent throughout the exchange.

I get where Shirley came from, what she overcame, and what racing was like "back in the day", but geez, she's gotta chill a bit. As for Jesse thinking Force said something derogatory about Alexis, did I miss something? I remember him saying her dad's got money, but I didn't think he was insulting. I always got the impression Force respected Alexis as a racer. He mentioned her dad's money again recently, saying how glad he was that he's spending it on drag racing.

I agree. Why bring up the money aspect? However large or small a budget it doesn't matter as long as the win light comes on.

Your correct! Sometimes I just let my mouth/fingers run before I put my brain in gear. I formed that opinion based on an encounter I had with her way back in the day, but it didn't need to be expressed today. I'm sure she would have no memory of me or the situation.

You are right. But then it is very hard to be PC with her. She was, is, and always be exactly what John said she was.

This is sorta off topic.... but, you may know that her Mom appeared in the 80's KISS music video, "Reason to Live". In that video, there's a photo on the wall of her and Paul Stanley. They never had a ....thing... did they? In the video, she throws a bottle of wine at the pic. Might be fake. I wonder if that was a real pic...and if she by chance still has it today.

If I was the producer for NHRA TV (or whatever it's called), I'd NEVER put her on the air again. Totally GRACELESS! She can't help herself.

It seems to me that most drag racers at the top level of the sport either have money or are close to someone who does.

Let's be honest it not a cheap to be in this game so either you come from money or you know someone with deep pockets willing to pay the fare for you.
