i hate to be the 'fly in the ointment' but you have ask yourself, are we in a time that two major drag racing sanctions can exist? The NHRA isn't exactly thriving as far as participants / sponsorship availability / race track closings / ratings etc.

Im looking forward to seeing the lower tier teams that get overlooked. Do you remember who was the 3rd TF car in the 4's was? Those are the teams I like to watch. And look at the money IHRA is paying, 15000$ to qualify, 7500$ to the 9 thru 12 non quailfiers in TF and FC. Hope it comes to pass, I plan on flying from TX to NC for the last one.

I don't think so, but could be. He did have the "Wall of Rubber" car, though, which looked very cool from the rear. Clayton Harris was his crew chief. That explains getting into the 4's ahead of everyone but Hill and Snow.
