Aaron Brooks has got to go!

Your funny car program is struggling very badly and you hire a dragster guy to turn it around. It's not Brooks' fault. I don't know if there are many tuners left that would work there either.

I AM a Cruz fan and hope he gets back to winning.
Let's go Cruz! Ya gotta get back to winning! Don't let those big teams take all the glory.
 
I'm sure if he doesn't make it into the countdown, Brooks will be gone. After today's performance Cruz doesn't deserve to be in it.

I agree with Paul, Aaron Brooks is a Dragster tuner. If you want him to automatically find the magical tune-up for a funny car well, grab a seat and be patient. Jimmy Prock came from a dragster background (Joe Amato) and it took him a bit of time to adapt to the changes to run what he is doing today.

Aaron and Cruz are a tandem on tuning the car!
Sometimes you get gremlins and have to work through it.
Sometimes a change is good and if Cruz feels it's time then he will make the call.
Aaron is a good tuner. He has worked with some of the best in the business.

maybe Aaron needs to jam the lock on Cruz's hotel room while he's in there and tune the car ....when Cruz arrives just in the nick of time to get in and make his run they will probably do better!

Not picking on you Paul, but the rest of you keyboard CC crack me up!
Aaron was a FC CC, was assistant CC Gary Scelzi’s Oakley Funny Car ran the In&Out car for Roger Burgess R2B2 Racing , and CC for Del at Al Anabi. He also has his own rent a ride FC now with Stewy and Bobby.
 
Cruz is the last guy who might need to be told he needs a new crew chief.
 
They made a couple nice runs at the Night Under Fire at Norwalk just before Brainerd. I think they were Low ET 1st round, and made a decent run against Hight in the final. Came to Brainerd and didn't make it a combined 10 feet on the first 3 runs, and they had to neuter it just to make it go Q4. I think they just had a gremlin sneak in there and just could not shake it.
 
I really don't believe fuel FCs are easy to drive. Now I'm not speaking from experience just yet, but I would bet I'm right.
 
I have a feeling that they are working on something new that has not worked out yet.
On a couple of recent interviews, Cruz kind of looks like the cat that swallowed a canary.

He got Cruz into the last remaining Countdown place....better than expected!
We will have to see how it goes, might have to change the title of this thread....
