But what disturbs me the most about this whole situation is-

WHAT CURRENCY ARE THESE RANSOMS BEING PAID IN????​

Are these terrorists getting their MILLIONS of dollars in ransoms in U.S. Dollars?? How is that money being filtered back into OUR economy (Iran/Contra comes to mind, minus the drugs step..)..

Are the Somali's outfitting a new terrorist organization (or an old one?) with one of the few currancies that still has worldwide acceptance??

Abukar Haji, uncle of one of the dead men, blamed the naval surveillance for the accident that killed his pirate nephew Saturday.

Well, it sounds like maybe they WERE going to let him but, he let his own paranoia do him in?

Like the advice I heard G. Gordon Liddy give a woman on the radio. She lived in Indiana but worked in Chicago where she wasn't eligible for concealed carry. She had one of the holster purses, enabling her to walk through her parking garage after dark with a hand on her pistol. Liddy said two to the head, one to the chest, then WALK, don't run, away.

It's interesting how the US seems to be avoiding getting involved with that whole situation. Seems like it'd be pretty easy to plant some special forces onboard a few of those ships. Just when an un-suspecting ol' Captain Crunch and his compadre's jump onboard and try to take over the wheel house.... the get rather-rudely introduced to the US NAVY guys hiding below-deck.... and thier day is pretty much ruined. Arrest the dudes, then onto the next boat and the process repeats itself over and over again.....
