As an aside, that was Pat Foster in the M/T red car and Gerry Schwartz in the "Ratty Cat" Cougar in the terrible accident at the 4:00 mark.

I remember that race, the blue altered at the beginning was Jerry Gwen, he won "super" eliminator I think it was called, at that race. I forgot about Jack Ditmars' Opel neat car back then.

did you see the class designation on Ditmars Opel? I had forgotton it was an A/Fuel altered. I always liked the opel GTs from back then. Bob Lombardi's blown 327 purple Opel GT, Al Page's blown 327 Lime green Opel GT, Frank and Linda Mazi's blown 354 chrysler Opel GT. The Wayne County A/Gas small block Opel GT in later years.
