never thought i'd see, when someone, in this day and age can have that big of an advantage in this class. A few years ago KB had an advantage, but apparently that was primarily because it took the other teams a little longer to adapt to all the new changes, but now, just when it seems that the class has maxed out, performance wise, Elite is doing what WJ and Glidden did, in their prime. You've got the 2 best leavers in the class with 5 hundredths performance on the rest of the field, so unless the rest of the class can figure out whats going on, it looks like its gonna be Erica and jeg match racing all year long!

don't anybody go accusing elite of spending enormous amounts of money, the same that happened to kb/summit a few years ago.
they're really good rite now, but it's not cheap.

Remember 2003-2004 where if your name was not Greg Anderson you were not going to win a national event?

Yep, and I also remember how a few fans had a mental break down when EE beat him and took a pic beside his trailer and they were saying she was lucky and a one time wonder. Well, look at her now with 3 championships and turning out to be one of the best pro stock drivers to ever sit in the seat of a pro stock car. :)

i'm willing to bet no one said that. She was in a top tier car and was capable of wining at any time. I think it was Bill Stevens (sp) who commented, alot of this 'me against the world' drama was all created in Erica's head and i agree, unless there is some behind the scenes stuff we dont know about. The whole greg anderson thing was not about losing to women, but being on the receiving end of a historical event. but if u listen to enders, he's nothing but a chauvinist pig (and yes i had to look up the spelling for chauvinist)

I do remember Greg saying that it was "highly disrespectful".

That's interesting. I wondered what they did with all their stuff.
Maybe they brought it to keep someone else from getting their hands on it. When we change and upgrade equipment, the company who we brought the new stuff from will buy the old stuff and trash it. Something about they don't want us to sell it or transfer it to one of our sister plants. Might cut out on a potential sale. Maybe Elite figure it will cost them a engine lease.

From what I'm seeing, the Elite advantage is coming more from the chassis setup than the engines. All the top-tier cars are trapping within a hair of one another (210mph at Phoenix) but Elite's cars, especially Jeg's, is flat killing it out of the gate. When your competition is putting down .975-.980 60-foots and you're in the .950s, that's a hell of an advantage.

Many, many people said that. Mostly internet arm chair quarterbacks, but it was a big topic on forums......YellowBullet (of course) and others.
for the last 15 years, the top 10 cars in pro stock have been separated, only by a few hundredths, so i would think any rational thinking person could see, that if u have a car among that top 10 and a driver who was good and consistent on the tree, then, the said driver will ultimately win some races ! agreed ?

The 'Bullet is loaded with Erica haters. Guys that have zero clue about what's going on in the class itself, let alone understanding/appreciating her level of talent. Some of their comments are so dumb you'd swear many of them haven't been in a car of any kind. They couldn't have, or they wouldn't make such dumb-ass remarks.

That young lady, like her or not, will go down as one of the best to ever shoe one of those cars, period.

On her consistent reaction times alone. Then her resume. Erica was always a beast on the tree and so what happened? She put herself into a position with a team that could provide a car she could win with. Everyone knew that this dominance was coming once a team could provide a car as consistent as her R/T's. Dominoes ever since, and if there was not an EFI 2 season educational swing she could have possibly won the title in 16, 17, and 18 as well.

......... if there was not an EFI 2 season educational swing she could have possibly won the title in 16, 17, and 18 as well.
but she didn't because her team couldn't figure out the new rules first. someone else did. just like someone else figured out the camaros. so far, this recent chassis advantage is the only 'first' i've seen
her team accomplish. they have the pocketbook and are driven to succeed......just callin' it like i see it.

She deserves all her success. She’s not only a talented driver but has forced the whole class to be better to compete.

On a related topic, one of the observations I always remember is when Glidden was dominating. In Columbus with his TBird, I visited his pit between rounds and was shocked at how little was going on. It appeared the car was just sitting there waiting to run the final. Then in the staging lanes, he’s casually over at the fence signing some autographs. No pressure. Another day at the office. A win.
