excited about 1000ft... not in and by itself... but a shot is a shot, at an 1/8, a thousand foot or a 1/4... or 1 klick... or a measured mile as long as everyone is running the same distance...

Tim Richards and Joe split after WINNING Brainerd in 92.
Joe ran with a Jim Brisette tune up (who was with Herbert at the time) to finish the year out, and win the title.
Jeff Rogers and Larry Meyer tuned Joe's car in 1993.
Cory Mac parked his family ride at the end of 93, and went to drive for Larry Minor, and Prock went to Amato for 94.

No, but he is brothers with Jimmy Wash, crew chief for Morgan Lucas.
Why did they split , I have wondered that because they were together for a long time.

Well, be this all as it may, there were some of us who thought that the move to a thou would just prompt tuners to turn the wick up. (I'm one of them.)
It's looking like that's the case. (At least, to me it does.)
I mean, c'mon, did anybody here who's familiar with drag racing ever really doubt it?? We're talking about people who are intensely competitive. We're talking about people who get upset about losing at Old Maid.
YOU HAD TO KNOW that the crew chiefs would see this situation as a personal challenge, didja?????? I mean, c'mon.
It seems to me, the various teams with money were "blowen' 'em up" with regularity at the end of the season weren't they?
If the teams keep "pumping up the volume" we may well be looking at 1/8 mile racing.
I HATE 1/8 mile racing!!!
It goes against the natural laws of the universe.
Plus, it's just........

Why do couples Divorce after years of marriage?
People out grow each other, they goals change... maybe you just can't stand someone's girlfriend or wife... gezz, this is racing, just like every other part of life... people do what is best for themselves...
