Here are some pics from Qualifying, and the Final Round of Eliminations at the 2009 "JEGS Allstars" Sportsman event held at the California Dragway in Fontana, CA.
The weather played heavy for the event. Very high winds, and high heat 100+, made the drivers, and NHRA officials decide that the Final Rounds of the event would be run at 1/8 mile, not a 1/4 mile! This was the first NHRA National event ever to be run at that distance for ALL classes!
The classes included were, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Street, and Sportsman Motorcycle.
