Millican’s first run of the season was a tire-smoking 1,000-foot time of 6.784 at 86.94 mph. “That second run was great,” he said. “We are excited to welcome Parts Plus to 300 miles per hour drag racing,” Millican said. “It was a good run. Johnson recorded a 6.521-second elapsed time at 211.96 mph in his first run, then shook the tires and got out of the groove early in his second qualifying pass. The Greeneville, Tenn. native, not at all satisfied with his No. 9 spot, knows he can do better in his Mopar Dodge...

Elma, NY– With the offseason behind them Mike Janis and his Elma, NY based team headed to Valdosta, GA for some pre-Gatornationals testing. The team spent three days testing several combinations in hopes of being able to run with the best the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Series has to offer. With the NHRA slowing down supercharger overdrive for the 2011 season from 20% over to 14% over the Janis team was forced to abandon their scheduled R&D program and adjust to the new rules. “The off-season rule change hit us pretty hard. We had hoped to focus on cylinder head development and other areas but due to the rule change we had to scramble and change our focus. I know we don’t have the power to run with the turbo guys, but we...

She says she is OK with that because she has always loved the persona of the fiery red head. What she wasn't prepared for was what happened during pre-race testing as she prepared to compete this weekend in the Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals, the first event of the NHRA's Pro Stock Motorcycle 16-race season. While taking a test lap, she felt a burning sensation on her right foot - something that was not...

He also has the support of his father, veteran drag racer and crew chief Greg Underdahl, and the expert tuning skills of Ben Kriegsfeld.
