BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 10, 2026) – Alexis DeJoria has tasted success at Bristol (Tenn.) Dragway and she’s looking forward to the June 12-14 Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals as a key opportunity for her John Force Racing Bandero Café Chevrolet SS Funny Car team to capitalize on the momentum it has been building over the season’s first eight races.
DeJoria made her first career Funny Car final-round appearance in 2012 at Bristol Dragway and earned her sixth and most current NHRA national event victory there in 2021. She also finished runner-up at the 2023 event.
The Bandero Café team has been to two final rounds already in 2026, at the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Ga., and the Route 66 Nationals presented by PEAK near Chicago.
The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Funny Car point standings after eight of 20 races are: : 1. Ron Capps, 617; 2. J.R. Todd, 602; 3. Jordan Vandergriff, 588; 4. Matt Hagan, 546; 5. Chad Green, 545; 6. Jack Beckman, 511; 7. Alexis DeJoria, 487; 8. Spencer Hyde, 401; 9. Austin Prock, 358; 10. Daniel Wilkerson, 296.
Quotes
What have you heard about what the track used to be like and what it’s looking to be with the new resurface?
“The new racing surface at Bristol is going to be really cool. I know in the past it’s come down to a one-lane race track at times so this will be a nice change. It levels the playing field for all of us. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Do you have any memories of Bristol that stick out most?
“I’ve got the great memories from racing in Bristol. That track is one of my favorite tracks. The very first final round I went to was in 2012 with Del Worsham and Kalita Motorsports. Man, we did really good there. Bristol is just one of those tracks where I’ve had success in the past and really love going back to. Just the sound of it, the look, all the fans, it’s absolutely beautiful. The 2023 runner-up was a big deal but winning it in 2021 with Dell was so special. We had our own team together and that win just completed everything. It was a full circle moment from 2012. We qualified No. 1 and then getting the win stands out as one of my favorites, for sure. I mean, my gosh, I had like a .002 light in the final and got to race my old teammate from Kalitta (J.R. Todd) so that was pretty cool. I am really looking forward to this weekend.”
How are you handling the travel and staying in race mode in the third week of this three-race swing?
“These three-race swings can be exhausting and grueling at times but this is where you get that momentum, when you’re going to the track every weekend. No matter what happens one weekend, you’ll be back in a couple days and do it all over again. We lost in the second round lst week in Epping so I can honestly say Bristol can’t come soon enough. I can’t wait to get back out there and go more rounds and, hopefully, get our Bandero Café Chevy team a Bristol win.”

DeJoria will be signing autographs Sat., June 13, from 5-6 p.m. in the Bristol Dragway pavilion near the tunnel.
