BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Oct. 28, 2026) – Two of Alexis DeJoria’s six NHRA Funny Car event wins have come at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway so she and her Bandero Chevrolet SS Funny Car team are looking forward to the Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 NHRA Las Vegas Nationals to achieve their season goal of an event win in their first season as part of John Force Racing.

DeJoria’s Las Vegas wins were achieved in the spring races in 2014 and 2016. This year she’s looking to capitalize on the strength of qualifying in the top half of the ladder for the past 12 races and 14 of 18 overall.

With two races remaining, DeJoria’s total of 19 rounds wins is just one shy of her career third-best season total, one more win equals her 2015 total, and her current seventh place in the point standings ties her season-best finish (2014, 2022).

John Force Racing’s Bandero Funny Car team will unveil a special paint scheme on the starting line Friday during Q1.

The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Funny Car point standings after 18 of 20 races are: 1. Matt Hagan, 2,503; 2. Jordan Vandergriff, 2,405; 3. J.R. Todd, 2,384; 4. Austin Prock, 2, 348; 5. Jack Beckman, 2,443; 6. Ron Capps, 2,315; 7. Alexis DeJoria, 2,276; 8. Daniel Wilkerson, 2,207; 9. Chad Green, 2,155; 10. Spencer Hyde, 2,149.

Quotes

What’s the plan with two races left in the 2026 season?

“In the first year with a new team, the goal is to finish well. We still have two chances left to get wins despite our championship hopes being done for this season. That said, we can still do well enough in the points to be one of my best championship points finishes, possibly my best ever. I’ve had a good first year with John Force Racing. I’ve learned and grown a lot individually as has the Bandero team overall. I’m very proud of this entire group and grateful for the rare opportunity to join the John Force family of drivers.”

What are the team’s goals over the final two races?

“Our goals these last two races will be to get a win, maybe even two. We’ve put in the work and had great qualifying results so we just need a couple breaks to go our way on Sunday.”

Do you participate in any games of chance while in Las Vegas?

“Las Vegas is one of my favorite tracks. I always love seeing the fighter jets flying above from Nellis Air Force Base. I’ll play a bit of blackjack and hit the slot machines and maybe even a little roulette.”
