BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 22, 2026) – Pacific Raceways is the second half of the annual NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series West Coast swing in 2026 and Alexis DeJoria brings with her the confidence she and her Bandero Café Chevrolet SS Funny Car team can win the July 24-26 Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals because she’s been there before.
The Southern California native began racing in the NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car category in 2007 with the goal of eventually moving into the nitro Funny Car category. The carrot she put in front of herself was that she had to win a national event before making that big step to the professional category.
She struggled early in her career, as most do, but persevered to reach that lofty goal with a win at the 2011 NHRA Northwest Nationals. She turned pro the next year, made her final round debut in June 2012 at Bristol and earned the first of her six NHRA Funny Car event wins at Phoenix in 2014.

What’s it like racing at Pacific Raceways in the great northwest?
“I love racing in Seattle. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and it’s one of the West Coast swing races so it was an easy race to travel to living in Southern California. I won my first NHRA national event at Seattle in 2011 when I was racing Top Alcohol Funny Car so it will always be a special place to me.”
You competed against both your current co-crew chief and the guy that owns your race team.
“We had a good showing in Seattle last year in making it into the semifinals and I even beat one of the Bandero Café team’s co-crew chiefs, Jonnie Lindberg, there in 2017. I did see, looking at my history there, that my boss (John Force) took me out three of the nine times I’ve race there so I’ll have to talk with him about that.”
What’s the mental process in preparing for back to back race weekends?
“Last week at Sonoma was hard on all of us on the Bandero Café team. Some weekends you can feel it, just know that ‘we’re winning this race.’ I felt that way all last week about Sonoma but, in the end, the results didn’t back it up. There’s a difference between being confident and cocky. We’re very confident in our capabilities to win on any given Sunday so we’re going right back at it this week in Seattle.”
