Quotable:
“The Stampede of Speed, the Texas FallNationals, is a home race for me because I live in Austin. Texas Motorplex is a great racetrack. I’ve done really well there in the past. I also had a pretty bad fire there back in the day. We’ve got the car to beat right now. In St. Louis, we had we had one of the best cars out there. Unfortunately, I am human, and I went red in the second round against my teammate. Those are tough ones. Those are the ones that make you want to just curl up in a ball and hide, but we’ve got the car right now; that’s the takeaway. Our Bandero Café Chevrolet is badass. I’ve got a lot of faith in this race car and this team. To be able to do this with the best race team, the pinnacle of nitro Funny Car racing with John Force, Chevrolet, and Bandero, is a dream come true. Every day I get to drive that race car is a blessing, and I’m gunning for one of those Stetson hats in the winner’s circle. Dallas, here we come!”
