FROM ANTRON BROWN:
Driver of the Matco Tools Eagle Experience Top Fuel Dragster
“We have to step up and get ready for the U.S. Nationals, get ready for the situation, and go in there with our heads down and give it all we’ve got. It’s going to be hot this weekend. It’s not going to be the cool weather we’re used to.
“We’ve been doing our work. We’ve been testing, getting everything ready for the Countdown. The goal is like always – to qualify in the top five and attack it on race day. My mindset and focus – I feel in really, really good shape. My physical conditioning is the best it’s been in years, so I’m really looking forward for this race.”

FROM ANGELLE SAMPEY:
Driver of the Hangsterfer’s FVP Mission Foods A/Fuel Dragster
“I am very excited about this race. I am trying to get my hands on one of those NHRA 75th anniversary Diamond Wallys, and what better time would it be to do that than at the U.S. Nationals. I have won this race two times on a Pro Stock Motorcycle and came really close in our Hangsterfer’s A/Fuel dragster when we made it to the final round, but then weren’t able to finish the race because we had a fuel leak on the starting line. I’ll be back in my Hangsterfer’s A/Fuel dragster this weekend, gunning for a win and maybe even double up with Antron [Brown] in the Matco Tools Eagle Experience Top Fuel dragster.
“It will also be the final Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. We’ll be crowning our end-of-season champions. I’m looking so forward to seeing Mr. Gonzalez, who will be here this weekend with us. It’s going to be a very exciting and busy weekend for me. I’ll be working, racing, hopping around, doing all the things that go on at the U.S. Nationals.”
