My 10 favourite songs of all time - in no particular order
Move It - Cliff Richard
Be My Baby - The Ronettes
Rock 'n' RoII - Led Zeppelin
The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore - The Walker Bros
The Warmth Of The Sun - Beach Boys
My Sharona - The Knack
We WiII Rock You - Queen
I'm Gonna Getcha Good - Shania Twain
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
Around And Around - The Rolling Stones
Cliff Richard was Britain's answer to Elvis Presley, dominated the pre-Beatles British pop scene in the late '50s and early '60s. Several of his late-'50s recordings, however, were genuinely exciting Presley-esque rockers — especially his first hit, "Move It" (1958) — and gave British teenagers their first taste of genuine homegrown rock & roll talent.
The Walker Bros, they weren't British, and their real names weren't Walker, but Californians Scott Engel, John Maus, and Gary Leeds were briefly huge stars in England at the peak of the British Invasion. They hit the top of the British charts with "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore"
