The rains returned to Maple Grove Raceway but not before Top Fuel completed three qualifying sessions - two yesterday and one today. The fourth and final qualifying session remaining was canceled and the field is now set for the NHRA Toyo Tires Nationals.
Hillary Will qualified her KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed dragster in the No. 10 position on the final qualifying ladder. The rookie driver will face veteran driver Bob Vandergriff, Jr., in the opening round of eliminations tomorrow, weather permitting.
With conditions yielding record setting numbers in all four professional classes, Will's best of her three qualifying passes was a run of 4.560 seconds at 322.19 mph, run in the second qualifying session on Friday.
Vandergriff qualified in the No. 7 position with a pass of 4.547 seconds at 323.50 mph, which he recorded in the only qualifying session today.
Will begins her quest for the Toyo Tires Nationals Top Fuel title on Sunday, Oct. 1, with eliminations for all classes beginning at 11 a.m. Time is local Reading time (ET) and subject to change at anytime.

Doug Kalitta will drive the Mac Tools Top Fuel Dragster, David Grubnic will handle the driving duties on the StriVectin-SD Top Fuel Dragster and Scott Kalitta moves from Top Fuel to the Kalitta Air Funny Car for 2006.
