Will Fiat Support MOPAR & NHRA

Now that Fiat will own 100 % of Chrysler will they continue to fund the Mopar brand and NHRA racing? Let's hope so.

There were interviews with MOPAR execs last year that indicated they would. But, having gone through a corporate buy out and the ensuing BS, I know that will last as long as MOPAR is on a long leash. As soon as corporate tightens the leash, it's game over.

MOPARs history with NHRA (Chris McGee can tell you ALL about that... ) is so entrenched with what the sport's top two categories are about that even if they walked away from PS, their direct influence would still be felt. Why not take full advantage of that almost free publicity and keep the ball rolling?

On the other hand, could you imagine if the HEMI-based specs for nitro went out the window? Wow- talk about a renaissance in the nitro categories- you know that AJ and DSR have got to have something hidden up their sleeves ever since JFR came out with that BOSS 500 press release... (not the actual product, mind you- that was just more of the same...)

What happened when InBev brought Budweiser ? I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens with Mopar.

Fiat has been in control for years now and they have increased their involvement not pulled it back. Ralph Gilles has stated over and over again that they firmly believe in investing in the NHRA.

Good point Larry, some of the coolest looking cars ever, although I like the look of our T-Bucket car too
