<P>TOPEKA, Kan. – The hottest man in NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster, Jim Whiteley and his YNot Racing Team will be looking for their fourth-straight win during this weekends’ Division 5 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan. Whiteley is currently leading the national points standings on the heels of his ten round win streak. He hopes to add to that streak and his points lead this weekend.

Whiteley, from Grand Junction, Colo., started his win streak by picking up his first national event win of the year at the Fram-Autolite Nationals in Sonoma, Calif. He followed that win up with by winning the Division 7 event there the following weekend. Just last weekend, he won his third-straight by winning the Division 6 event in Billings, Mont.

“Right now we’re just trying to pick up some more national points,” said Whiteley. “We’ve won two out of division events already this year, so we can’t add any more wins to our divisional total, but we can add to our national points. With that being the case it would have been easy to just stay home, but everything is going so well for us right now. Everything is clicking. We’re hot right now and we’re going to try to ride it as long as we can.”

“Norm and the guys have the car running great right now,” Whiteley continued. “It’s an easy car to drive right now. It just goes right down the track; it’s not doing anything stupid like it was earlier in the year. We originally hadn’t planned on going to Indy after Topeka, but we’re looking at that pretty hard right now. It’s all about staying hot while we have the momentum going.”

Qualifying begins on Friday with one session, followed by one final session Saturday morning. Final eliminations will conclude the event Saturday evening.
