Thankfully you'll all be dead and gone soon enough and progress won't continue to be stifled by close-minded simpletons stuck in 1950.
Ahhh the 1950’s! A time when it was totally acceptable to knock someone’s teeth out for stupid a** comments and disrespect. People were much nicer then, why…because they’d get knocked the hell out for being an idiot a**hole. We do need to go back to that. Thanks for the reminder!

I seem to be posting this a lot on social media lately, but I’ll do it again here.
The current negative attitude towards EVs reminds me A LOT of the early 2000s era when the four/six/rotary/import scene was getting a following. We had the same voices declaring that no-one wanted to listen to those engines, how people came to the track to hear V8s. As a result the sport was obsessed with partitioning the imports away as some kind of curiosity rather than something mainstream.
When we have low nine-second capable EVs, and they will be in the eights soon enough, people who own those vehicles are going to need a place to safely experience that acceleration. Drag racing is in a prime position to get those people as customers.
Will EVs replace nitro? Of course not. But just because we have one, doesn’t mean the other can’t exist.
If it was as simple as EVs being added to the mix, I have no problem with that. But there's an agenda to force it down our throats as the only option we're going to have. To me THAT'S the issue. Like I posted earlier, if the government is pushing to get rid of ICE by 2035, well that's not that far off...

If you want to see what Top Fuelers and Funnies would be like if they were silent, simply watch NHRA.TV. The sound creates drama, silence makes you go to sleep
they should use Main Event;;s cameras, for the REAL sound of NITRO, Go look at Rock N Racing or 1989 Super Bowl Of Drag Racing,

I think the manufactures have a lot to do with this I work in transportation and the o. M. Are all for electric

Dean's best were Nitro Warriors and Thrill: The Eddie Hill Story. Both showed NHRA and Diamond P what Drag Racing coverage could and should have been. Dean Papadeaus and Main Event in 2022 remain a standard for Drag Racing broadcasting. Never exceeded.
It wasn't the cameras -(he used Sony BetaMax and VHS) it was his vision and understanding of what the sport needed.
To this day NHRA says that the technology to bring correct car audio to broadcasting does not exist-they were wrong in the 80's and sure are wrong in present day, as we watch silent cars on NHRA.TV and sound all over the place (every camera angle has different audio) on FOX. Guess Dave Mclelland was wrong, sadly the announcers ARE the stars

Everybody should watch this movie. Even if you've seen before, watch again.
