Hey 'Maters,

I need some input on what you think about the current weather station/dial-in predictors available. We're just going to be bracket racing, no throttle-stop. I want to know what you feel is the most user-friendly and accurate deal out there for the money.

Alta Lab weather station with Crew Chief pro. the best there is. Not cheap but works like no other. Go look at any big event and see what the winners are useing. We had trouble with several other stations untill Rod Fuller told me to go with AltoLab. Havent had problem 1 sense. Good Luck

definately crew chief pro Sean.....my cousin runs a super comp car and she uses it and it's pretty damn good, and pretty simple to use

As my dad and mike have sais sean the crew chief pro program is worth every penny and the alta lab weather station that is availiable works amazing with it! Have never had a problem with either one and Don Higgins who is the crew chief pro mastermind is extremely helpful with everything!

I'd have to agree. The Crew-Chief Pro is VERY consistent. But, it's only as good as your data and log books details are. We use the C.C. Pro program up here on the hill. Works very good.

Another one for AltaLab with Crew Chief Pro. You can call Biondo for some great pricing.

We have the multi-user license, which is a little more complicated but it works.

Well, damn! I figured I would get opinions all over the place and end up having to do a bunch of research, but I guess unanimous so far, huh?! LMAO!!!

I appreciate you guys taking the time; thank you! I'll be checking this deal out.

Thanks everyone.

I make the Crew Chief Software and we sell all the weather stations. Give me a call and I can walk you through the options.

Phone is 309-208-1486

I can dial my car within .01 and I don't want to recommend them because of a sponsorship gone bad. The unit has not been named in this thread.

Tim hit the nail on the head. The weather station is only as good as the info you put into it. 10 runs won't do it either. Get 40 or 50 runs and then you should be able to depend on it. I have 300+ in mine. Always put it in the shade and away from a heat or cold source.

I would also make sure it has the capability to download your data to a computer. Beats the heck out of a log book.

We have tried several and now use the product from iFamilySoftware.com. I find it much easier to use than the others and we've had excellent results.

Unfortunately, we have a virgin combination with E-85 and only had a few runs at the end of last season, so there's not much data to start with. But that being said, I'll have that obstacle no matter what I end up going with. I have no desire to reinvent the wheel and that's why I started this thread. I've not done the bracket racing deal for several years, but I know there are a lot of great products out there that many use with much success. I really appreciate the feedback.

Lee Zane won the world championship in stock using this combo-Don thought so much of Lee, he sponsored him. I thought so much of Lee, I asked him to drive my comp car-you can imagine how high I jumped when he said yes!

I also use FamilySoftware... It is easy, and works. Bob gives great tech support. I don't care which one you use, there is a learning curve, and the old saying "Garbage in Garbage out" applies. I think Crew Chief Pro is overly complicated. Bob's software has a couple of features I really like. The run segment comparision is great, along with the overlay graph of two runs. It is less expensive also.

Family Software here too...but as stated if the car is not consistent no station/predictor will work...
