You have got to be kidding me?!? Drones are our first line of offense in this whole Afganistan assault, and the (highly paid) manufacturers and engineers of these systems didn't think to encrypt the system?!?!? WTF??? Hell, even the wireless dimming systems that ROADIES use has an encryption system to prevent the whole lighting rig from being hacked by an audience member with an iPhone....

The U.S. government has known about the flaw since the U.S. campaign in Bosnia in the 1990s, current and former officials said. But the Pentagon assumed local adversaries wouldn't know how to exploit it, the officials said.
