Kinda figured they would wait to make the announcement until after the NHRA event. Maybe knowing that this will be the last chance to see the NHRA stars will help sell tickets.

Yay! This is great news. I think that with Virginia re-joining, the rumours of Palm Beach joining/rejoining IHRA plus the Utah track likely to get a national event next year that 2010 is looking REALLY good for the I. Of course, I've been saying that for many years but maybe it'll work this time.

I'm really, really hoping for Utah to get a national event a few weeks before/after Edmonton so the I can do their version of the Western Swing and MAYBE I'll be able to see PS again...

Yeah, I hear they actually prefer 1/4-mile nitro racing there.

LOL ill give IHRA that at least they are 1/4 mile. But then again most the cars are slower anyway. Virginia is always to crowded for NHRA they never have enough concession stands and the bathroom lines are long, real long. Maybe ill try That next year IHRA at Virginia. Might be fun??

were we at the same track?

I've never stood in line at The Hot Rod Cafe more than 5 minutes, and there was a whole line of other food vendors. If I wanted a drink, there is hardly any wait for the lemonade girls... or the beer people.

I've never stood in line at the can...
I think it a timing issue, Never go get food or use the can right before or right after a 'PRO' session.

I've stood in line longer at a ball park then I ever had at a drag strip.

VMP reminds me alot of OCIR, and is a dang lot better than Lions or the 'Dale for food and rest rooms...
