IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals Fact Sheet (1 Viewer)

RICHMOND, Va. (October 10, 2011) – The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) returns to Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Va. on October 14-16 for the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals presented by RacingJunk.com.

This year’s IHRA World Finals is the richest sportsman weekend in IHRA history with over $200,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs among nine classes spread over the three-day weekend. The 2011 IHRA World Finals will feature three separate races spread over the three days with action being contested in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod, Hot Rod, Box and No Box.

This is the final race of the 2011 IHRA season with championship awarded in all nine classes.

Gates open at 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the first round of sportsman racing beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and running throughout the day.



WHAT: The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals presented by RacingJunk.com is the final race of the 2011 IHRA season.
Event will include nine sportsman classes including Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod, Hot Rod, Box and No Box.

Friday and Saturday will feature the $5,000 to win Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Spectacular open to racers across the country. Following the completion of the Summit Sportsman Spectacular, the IHRA will move forward with its invitation-only World Championship tournament featuring nearly 200 of the best racers in the world. The Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions and Summit SuperSeries World Championships will conclude Sunday afternoon with the crowning of champions in all nine classes.
