The way I read the article, TJ will be racing in the Yas Marina circuit which is in the country of United Arab Emirates.

I miss him too but racing in the middle east will be the same as not racing as far as his fan base goes!
Same goes for TJ unless you go to Gainesville!
Hopefully it will grow to something better in the future but what it is right now means nothing....

I'm pretty sure TJ is happy to be driving SOMETHING, rather than just sitting on the sidelines.

From what I can tell from anther article elsewhere, this two car team will probably compete at selected US events, starting with the US Nats., a practice that might grow if this deal works out. So we'll still get to see him compete. Just not as often as we might like.

I don't care what any Gloomy Guses may say. This is MUCH better for drag racing in general, and TJ in particular, than being parked for another season, which is what he was looking at prior to this deal.

This IS a good thing for drag racing.

This is just weird to me. I love TJ, he's one of the true class acts in the sport, however when does the yas marina series start and and end? It would be great to see them run a full season over here to establish a base line for both cars then head over to the middle east. I guess Im just confused....Does this mean that both him and Lee Beard will be moving to the UAE??? That has to be stressful on their families. Im sure more details will emerge shortly....Until then Ill just be perplexed.....
