I really feel for TJ, Kenny, Jimmy Walsh and the whole Monster Energy team. I have to believe that they are having trouble adapting to the extra 100 pounds of weight. Just my opinion, I'm rooting for them to turn it around though.

I hope they can turn it around quick and get into the top 10 by Indy. There's no denying they have been struggling, but I think Jimmy has what it takes to turn it around. They also have valuable asset named the "General" close by.

That last pass, a 4.83, sounds like they are getting it together. It's coming around for them, they've turned the corner. Next thing they need is just a little 'Racing luck'.

Chin up TJ, it's coming

I have proudly wear my Monster/KBR hat all the time. My son has commented I need a new hat soon though. Good luck to them.

Maybe KB can toss a couple of associate sponsors toward Wilk for an hour or two of consulting time.

Lets face it, since Bernstein hired Walsh they have struggled big time to put it kindly. When u think about it Walsh is tryin’ to accomplish something even the great Alan Johnson and Tim Richards have not done and that is to equal the tremendous success they had tunin’ a Dragster, tunning a FC. If memory serves Jimmy had J.R. Todd matching AJ/Schumacher run for run towards the latter part of 2006.

Look for some big news this week about the entire funny car crew.

If this involves a crew chief change, the available list is pretty short! If Hogan is still with Kalitta, only West and Mike K. come to mind.
It's hard to understand what is wrong with this team, but they didn't miss by much this weekend. This ain't easy - with huge resources and much more data, DSR teams continue to struggle, while Wilk goes to P1.

Can't wait to see what happens here!

I'm surprised Bernstein has let this go on as long as it has, for BOTH cars. He's never been known for mediocrity. But, I usually root for other drivers anyway, so Kenny, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

James, if you are saying Kenny has struggled since Jimmy came to the team, how would you define their performance before Jimmy was there? Yeah Jimmy has struggled recently, last year they had some good performances in the middle of the year. I just do not know how much longer Jimmy has to turn the corner. Hopefully the performance turns around starting in Bristol.

I believe that Jimmy got the car turned around last year, and tuned Kenny to some good performances. It seems to me that the extra 100 pounds has them really over-center, but strictly MO, I'm certainly not a crew chief.

Ahh, new team to kick around.

Good to see em mixed up around here.

I didn't intend for this to be a 'kick them around thread', I was simply looking for some thoughts on the matter.
