CONCORD (April 15) – Top Alcohol Funny Car team Kon Rodz Racing suffered a surprising first round loss at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals last weekend after driver Cassie Simonton qualified a career-high No. 2. The Spiro Kontos-owned KonRodz entry was in race-winning form through qualifying, but tire smoke quickly ended the Canadian team's weekend.
