Tindle Racing had a good off-season, but the team is more than ready for the 10-event 2008 JEGS Promod Challenge to begin at this weekend's NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway, Gainesville, Fl.
Driving the Tindle Racing GT500E "Backhoe" Mustang in 2008, his second year Promod Racing, the 2007 AMS Promod Challenge Rookie of the Year Tim Tindle is eager to return to the challenge of claiming his first Promod championship. Tindle's teammate, Rick Stivers, is also ready to make his first lap in competition behind the wheel of the GT500E "Dozer" Mustang.
"The season is here and I feel that we are ready for it," said Tindle. "We formed a new team during the off-season and we are looking forward to it. We had a great test session at South Georgia Motorsports Park last weekend after making several changes to the car. You know the track in Gainesville will be great, and hopefully the conditions will be great. So, I'm looking forward to a good start, especially for all our sponsors."
Earlier, Tindle made an announcement of his new team for the season. Among the exciting new changes, Tindle racing named two-time IHRA Pro Mod World Champion Mike Janis and son Mike Janis Jr. Crew Chief and Co-Crew Chief to tune for both Tindle and Rick Stivers, who was named driver of the second Tindle Racing Mustang in 2008.
TARE Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, TORCO Racing Fuels, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support. For more information on Tindle Racing visit :: Tindle Racing ::
