Tindle Racing for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Atlanta

Tim Tindle began his racing career 12 years ago driving sportsman cars in and around the Florida Panhandle. Now he is using his love for the sport to raise awareness of Leukemia & Lymphoma, a disease that affects approximately 3,800 children each year in the US, accounting for about 30 percent of childhood cancers.

This weekend Tindle will be attending the 28th annual NHRA Southern Nationals, Atlanta Dragway, and all proceeds earned will benefit the Alabama/Gulf Coast Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. With this weekend's event Tindle is able to combine his passion for drag racing with his aspiration to raise money for Leukemia research, a cause that hits close to home. Tindle's 7-year-old niece, Haleigh McRae, was diagnosed with the disease, and ever since then Tindle has wanted to do something to support the cause.

"I've wanted to do something like this for a long time," Tindle said. "This is the perfect time to raise money and raise awareness to thousands of people. Rod Burke, Burke Designs, and the guys at Phoenix Custom Apparel have been a huge help in putting this together in a short amount of time, and we greatly appreciate it."

As part of the weekend, the team's 1967 GT 500E Mustang has been transformed into a rolling billboard for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The team will also sport crew shirts designed to help support the cause.

Tindle Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, TORCO Racing Fuels, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support. For more information on Tindle Racing visit :: Tindle Racing ::
