just thought id let you know of some awesome numbers that came from the FIA race in Sweden at the weekend, and only the 2nd race of the year for many

Pro Mod European Record went to 5.88 and the speed record is now 248mph!

Several Pro Stock Runs in the 6.5 range with a low of 6.55 at 212mph ( Jimmy Alund)

Top Methanol Funny Car ( TAFC) Jonnie Lindberg ran 5.49!

TF saw Many 4.0s and Stig Neergaard ( the real stig ) went 3.98 at over 300

this could be the best year for European Drag Racing for years!

I am pretty sure the FIA just copied the NHRA rule book verbatim. The only difference I can think of is they still run the full quarter in top fuel.

Yes Chris they just went to 1000ft this season, but the Nitro Funny Cars (not an FIA class) still run the full quarter mile.

they have been running selected races in TF over 1000ft since 2009 but last year was the first time they ran it for the whole season. the quickest ever 1000ft Recorded in Europe was on a 4.57 Quarter Mile pass in 2010 and the 1000ft was 3.88

indeed. Only Top Fuel Dragster run 1000ft all other classes are full Quarter.

Pretty much every FIA/UEM record is set at Tierp. I'd venture to say that close to everyone who's run at Tierp has set their PB's there as well.

Most definitely. Ian King ran his first 5-second run so together with the Svensson Brothers entry we could enjoy two bikes running in the 5's at this event.

Lindberg's pass was very stout! Went 212mph to half track too!
