Sounds like Austin is locked in for next season, Now the questions, Does this mean AAA is out of Drag Racing? Is Robert Hight ever coming back to drive and if so will it be in John’s car with his crew and Peak sponsorship? Can’t wait to see how this all works out for John Force Racing

It is going to be very interesting to see who winds up driving which car at JFR next year. The Cromwell Tools announcement sure sounds like they will be backing Austin driving what was Robert's car. Also, the Procks have done so incredible this year and the family dynamic makes such a great story line it would seem foolish to break up that situation. Robert (assuming he is coming back) stepping into John's car with Danny Hood and crew would seem to make more sense than returning to his old team. This of course assuming that John is done driving. I think most of us are praying that at this point in his career John will move on to team owner, cheerleader and goodwill ambassador for the sport of NHRA drag racing. I have always been great fan of Jack Beckman. Seeing him step in to fill John's seat at the end of this season has been a welcomed reminder of what an exceptional driver and articulate, insightful racer he is. It would be wonderful if JFR could somehow find a seat for Fast Jack going forward but I am afraid that is wishful thinking. Anyway, just rambling...

Austin has a seat in the Cornwell car for 3 years. Peak has renewed with JFR but no driver was mentioned. I've heard nothing on Monster and Brit's ride but the way she talks she plans to be back. JFR has been notorious for waiting until January to make any big statements so it may be awhile.

Sure seems like hight isnt comimg back,i mean he hasnt even been to a race. Seems ok healthwise on facebook. Who knows
Is this true? Robert has been seen on Facebook looking OK? That would be great news if true. I am not on Facebook so don't know. It is concerning that he evidently hasn't been seen at the track and I haven't seen an article with any updates on him. So I assume he is still struggling with his health issue.

Austin Prock is locked in for 2025.
In my opinion, I believe that Robert stepped away from driving due to tensions between him and Jimmy Prock after losing out on the championship at Pomona for two consecutive years. I believe the “health issues” explanation was the politically correct explanation.
Robert or Jack Beckman could drive John’s car in 2025.

It was a health issue, that's BS about him and Jimmy Prock, no way are they feuding, as to him driving in 25 that remains to be seen.

Was it a minor health issue, looks ok to me? Wonder why he doesnt go to races to cheer on the teams

My friend had to retire from auto restoration because he developed vertigo. Couldn’t drive or fly. It has since gone away with no lingering symptoms but it upended his life for months
Most anyone who had to step away from driving a funny car, or top fuel car for any reason, money, loss of sponsor, burn out, or health issues etc. does not make a good spectator, or cheerleader.
When I quit, I didn't go to the races for over 5 years, if you ever drove/raced a funny car, you know that's all you want to do and when you can't do it anymore it's the hardest thing to deal with.

I can see that if your done racing, but they keep saying he will be back 2025,so he cant drive for 1 year and cant go to the races to help support the teams??

One more wrinkle would be Autumn Hight, is she ready or wanting to follow dads and grandpa's step into Funny car
Good observation PJ, I hope John is able to decide whether he will ever drive again, that would mean complete recovery, either way great to him see back at the track, was always good to me when ever we talked, his passion to be the best is why he is one of GOAT, I trust John to make the choice about driving again, I believe he will not drive if he feels he is not ready, cleared or not

I understand what you are saying and don't disagree. Robert however not only a driver but a JFR executive and well known face of the organization who's presence at the track would've welcomed if he was able. I didn't think that after John's crash that I would see John back at the track before Robert. Still hope to see him at Pomonato celebrate the championshipif he's able.

"they keep saying he will be back 2025"

Who's they? Did JFR announce that and we all missed it?

My son had the same issue. Vertigo is far more than just a "dizzy spell" as some people might think. He would lay in the floor puking, unable to stand or walk. You never knew when another attack was going to hit. This went on for several months before the attacks lessened and eventually went away.
