Man I was heartbroken for Angelle. Pretty intense moments for the final round. As she's beating on the bike and jumping up and down you could clearly hear her screaming "START, START" under her helmet, and over the spinning electric starter. It's coming Angelle, don't worry!

That was a bummer, after the little bit of a rough season so far that was a big race and not to be able to make it to the line really bites. Nice to see them take some strides forward though, hopefully they'll continue the climb up.

I don`t know about the most beautiful girl in the world. But she does have 2 things going for her.
1 she is a pretty lady.
2 She can ride the hell out of a dragbike.

Glad to see they are starting to come around.

I was 'gonna post something but was afraid it might bring out the Angelle bashers.

I thought she comported herself in a totally understandable manner. More important, she pulled herself together for what must have been a tough (time to) interview.

Glad you made the finals and look forward to a win sooner than later!

PS: Poor Matt was the story today, eh? God bless 'em.

Thats the worst feeling in the world, especially because you know its something dumb and small that happens, and there's just nothing you can do about it.

Angelle,

Hang in there! You had a great day and the win will come. Those hiccups sure are a drag, but you all will just be stronger from it.

Smile!!!

OK, I admit, I've had a crush on Little Miss "Louisiana Lightning" ever since she came to NHRA. They'll get the bike figgerd out.

I did like how they had the team jumping on the part at the end, silly but a great stress reliever.

I felt so bad for her listening to her screaming at the bike. I know how that feels when it just won't start. I thought about the Angelle bashers too. I'm guessing the ones that get on her about her emotions probably have never made a pass down the track. When you pour your heart into this sport, (like Angelle does), it can really crank your emotions. Personally, I'm glad to see her show that emotion. It shows how much she loves Drag Racing and how important it is to her. Thats more than I can say for a few of these other puppets out there. Angelle, that win is coming, just hang in there.

Dave

Screaming "Start, Start, No, No!" is alot better than what I would have been screaming. Though it probably would have started with an S and ended with a T also.

True!! I think that's exactly what I was yelling at my computer when the bike wouldn't start!
Angelle - you are sooo close! Your favorite track is next week :p - you can win it there!!

My expletives would have been MUCH more colorful!

(Would NOT have made the hoghlight reel (unless it was on YouTube):p:eek:

"Most beautiful woman"? Nothing like titling the thread something "cute" to keep the comments warm and fuzzy.
High emotions???, I call it lack of self control. Shes a multi- time world champ, learn to handle adversity already.
How many times have we been down this road with her? You wont see Karen S. or Melanie wailing and carrying on like that.
And yeah Dave I`ve made many passes down a 1/4 mile in the last 20 years , so I meet the requirement to call it as I see it (you call it bashing).

so what about Line tossing the gloves? You live, fight and strive to win when you don't even get a chance to make the pass you're gonna be pissed. Its frustrating no doubt, maybe we should put robot in the cars eh?

I can't fault a person for showing emotion..and just because you don't Steve..shouldn't give anyone the right to criticize. We've seen Mel get emotional..who's to say how Karen would react with a no-start under those circumstances.

We've seen Angelle act this way before, because that is the individual she is..and apparently you have issues with how she is.

Hmmm. How many National Event finals have you been in?

I'll take a composed driver/rider over an emotional one every time. Win with class, lose with dignity - no matter by what means either happened.

The camera's sought Angelle out. She went off to the side to have her moment. That is not her fault that the camera's were on her. By her showing her emotion it just proves how passionate she is for the sport.

Hey Steve,

I bet if I kicked you in the "ding-ding" that you would cry!!!:D

Why's it have to be women you use as example?????

WJ, Line, Cory, Whit, Tony S....the list goes on with guys that have blown a nut.

If I ever win a wally you better not watch I'd be a blubbering stammering mass up there:D
