The Bazemore Bulletin

37th annual ProCare Rx SuperNationals
June 21-24, 2007
Old Bridge Township Raceway Park
Englishtown, N.J.

“We’re in recovery mode. We just had an unfortunate parts breakage at Chicago and we were a victim of the track on Saturday. We’re very positive. Things can turn around quickly and we intend to turn them around quickly. We’re not that far out of eighth and once we get back there we can get back into the top five like we were. Our teammate is running well and that’s good. The potential is in our team and we’ve got to realize our potential.”

Bazemore Englishtown Notebook

At the last race in Joliet , Ill. , Bazemore failed to make the cut for the 16-car field at Route 66 Raceway. It was just the 24th time in his

veteran driving career that he did not compete on race day. He enters the Englishtown race ranked 10th in the POWERade Top Fuel

standings. He is 23 points out of the coveted No. 8 position. The top eight drivers earn a spot in the Countdown for the Championship.

Last June, Bazemore qualified ninth at Raceway Park with a run of 4.825 seconds at 324.59 mph. Bazemore has never earned a pole at Raceway Park . He has qualified first at 15 current NHRA tracks.

Bazemore won the Englishtown race in 2003 when he defeated Ron Capps in the final round. Bazemore used a pass of 4.869 seconds at 306.81 mph to defeat a tire-smoking Capps. He has earned victories at 12 different tracks.

Bazemore’s crew chief Lee Beard has three career wins at the historic New Jersey facility. He tuned Bazemore to the win at Raceway Park in 2003, Rod Fuller to the Top Fuel win last year, and Gary Ormsby in 1990.
