Last weekend in Topeka , Kan. , Bazemore qualified third (4.534 Seconds) and drove to a quarterfinal effort. He moved to eighth in the POWERade Top Fuel standings.

Bazemore qualified second at the ultra-quick Joliet track last June with a 4.674-second elapsed time. It was the quickest Funny Car pass of his career.

Bazemore won the inaugural Joliet race in 1998 when he defeated Del Worsham in the final round. He has three victories in four final round appearances at the Joliet track. It is one of six tracks where he has scored multiple victories.

Bazemore earned the pole twice in Chicago behind the wheel of his Lee Beard-tuned Matco Tools Funny Car, 2001 (4.750 seconds) and 2003 (4.725).

Bazemore has earned top speed of the meet honors four times at Route 66 Raceway, 2001 (325.45 mph), 2002 (320.97, 325.14), and 2004 (333.25). He recorded low E.T. of the meet in 2001 (4.750 seconds).

He clocked the fastest pass of his career at the Chicago race in June 2004 (333.25 mph).
