The Ace just confirmed what I think many here suspected, that teams are getting much more aggressive with the tuneups because there's "less room to run 'em down."
 
They would have continued to get more aggressive even if they were still running 1320. That's the job of a fuel car tuner.

Austin Coil and Alan Johnson said there is nothing more to squeeze out the engine. They already were racing to 1000 ft.
 
It is quite obvious there was somewhere left to squeeze.:cool:

Like squeezing a rock. Somewere out there is a machine that will ultimately draw water out of it. But those machines are really expensive and take some pretty big brains to make work.

Kinda missed the days when everyone out there wasn't trying to squeeze water out of rocks, if you catch my drift....:rolleyes:

To phrase John Force, bottom line is the cars are not going any quicker to 1000' then they were when they were going to 1320. Floppers are still .05 off the mark. If anything they have to speed them up to overcome the extra weight that was put on them last year.
