Today being December 1, it was qualifying day at "THE LAST DRAG RACE" at Lions, it was epic, and Dad and I were there. Dad took the day off and we got there when the gates opened on day 1 and did not leave until the last car of the night went thru the lights, then there was just 1-day to go.

I wasn't at this day, but did make it Sat, to the race itself. I got there sometime in the morning & stayed until, what, 3 AM? Was glad I had Sunday to recover.

You know what stands out to me in the article? Jerry Dorman A/D. It was a front motor car with a big Rat motor & that 7.34 was a moon shot. Couldn't believe how quick that was for an A/Gas Dragster. Always remember the car, but not Jerry's name.
