Thacker Looking to Repeat

For the third week in a row Marty Thacker and the Rapid Transit Race Team will load up the rig and head out on the road. This time, their destination is National Trail Raceway. Overall, their divisional swing has been a success, but they aren’t ready to stop yet, they would like to get their Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Dragster in the winner’s circle one more time before it is all said and done.

“The Team has been working hard all season, but there is something about a win that makes you want to pick it up a notch. I don’t know if that is possible, because we always go out there and give it 110%, but we are going to try our hardest not to let this momentum slip away,” said Thacker.

Currently sitting in 4th place in the National standings, Thacker has the possibility of moving up to 2nd this weekend. The 2-time division champions, can also make a move toward their third championship this weekend if everything continues to come together.

“A couple of years ago, we wrapped up the divisional championship here when we won the Columbus event and runner-upped in the postponed Bowling Green event. This year we would like nothing better than to get another win and another Wally for Evan and Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels.”

Qualifying will be held on Friday at 5 PM and on Saturday at 1 PM and 5 PM. With the 8-car field set, eliminations will begin on Sunday at around 1 PM following the opening ceremonies.
