1. Robert was dead last on the Countdown field post Indy and kicked everyone's tail.

2. 9 drivers had more points than he did and couldn't hold him down.

3. These 9 drivers had a head start and still are going to lose.

4. I'd be putting more disappointment on my favorite driver/team than the Countdown rules.

5. It's early in the Countdown Years. 10 years down the road the Countdown will save your driver, or hurt him a few times. It will all come around.

6. Uh, that's what I'm hoping cause I personally would like to see my driver win a championship.

I don't think Force is at fault; he's just a smart racer.

What is wrong, in my opinion, is, that it makes NO SENSE to have rules that allow 25-percent of an eliminator's qualified field to be owned by one team.

If NHRA had a 2-car limit of race teams, I don't believe any of this B.S. would have happened.

Who does it benefit, to have the rules set up to allow 4-car teams?

People like John Force.... and, it's a tremendous advantage...

And, there's just to excuse for it.

Get rid of it... my 2-cents.

Under the normal point system, Robert would already have a championship under his belt. So the new system has taketh away, and now giveth.
Other than that, just remember we all live in glass houses - some just happen to be closer to the camera.
I agree totally. What's ironic is under the old system, Robert would have been the '07 Champion instead of TPed, and under the old system TPed would be the '09 Champion insted of Hight.

If NHRA limited owners to 2 cars, they would probably have to go to 8 car fields and buy a box car load of oil dry to clean up after the leaker and squeakers that would be in to fill the field. By the way Bill, does your doctor know you are off your medication?

No, John could have 2 cars, his & Ashleys, then Robert could have 2 cars, his & Neff's. There are ways to get around who owns the cars. Look at Hendrick in NASCAR. Tony Stewarts team might as well be owned by Hendrick, he buys everything from him.

Who is testing "several times" past the limit??

John Force asked before hand if Robert could drive John's car, and NHRA said yes. Roberts car was not run, and Jimmy was not even there, he was on his way home, or home already. NHRA told them they could before the car even ran. If NHRA had said no, it never would of happend.

Del Worsham was out of tests, and tested in Jeff Arends car, and got the same treatment. It was all OK. Seems nobody wants to talk about that.

Ashley has not tested all yeat except the end, Indy, Dallas, Virgina, now Vegas 2 which is her limit.

Robert/Jimmys car tested in Vegas 1, Bristol, Norwalk match race, and Indy.

Johns car is testing for the 5th time, and taking the penalty NHRA has in effect.

I am going to assume Don Shoe did not ask NHRA if he could bring his fuel in before NHRA found it or whatever happend. I really think that deal is a joke and the Shoe got hosed, but whatever. As long as it was not run in the cars (and I 100% don't think it was) who cares what he has in HIS trailer. Who knows maybe I am way off, but that's just me.

yeh what that said

You forgot the lovely Mrs John Force could also have a couple. The only way to fix this is to confiscate the money all the wealthy car owners have and spread it among the lesser financed......hey wait a minute--lets get the government involved--they have EXPERIENCE IN THIS AREA!!!!!!!!!

The point is about the team testing several times past the five times is what I am mad about. The force team had to bend the rules to get Robert in the countdown.Last year nhra charged Don S. 100,000.00 for having fuel in his trailer. How much for to many test for force's team (0)?What about this does not add up the same. The fact is Force is nhra to some,so go ahead take your shoots.James

Although I don't agree with the fine they levied against Don that was the rule for such a violation.
There is no monetary fine for violating the test rule allotment except to remove any points they may accumulate at the next event. So you’re getting worked up for no reason! ;)
If you don't like John Force just say so....

Mike Walker asked, "Bill, does your doctor know you are off your medication?"

Why do you ask; do you have a license to practice medicine in Arkansas????:o

the force haters really need to get a life already, i know the holyier than thou $humacher team can do no wrong-BUT- how did the force haters feel the day eric medlen passed away, how did the force haters feel the day john was lifestared out of dallas after his crash, how do the force haters feel after every crash, explosion, fire ect ect ect that happens to a funny car and the driver walks away with not a schratch and they all know its because of the improvements that john force has paid for out of his pocket and his team had r &d for years now in the wake of the tragedy. i guess the hatred of winning overpowers all the good deads, but not in the case of team $humacher, the winning is just so warm and fuzzy isnt it the do no wrong. its just sad!

If NHRA wants to eliminate "team orders", make it so you do NOT earn any points when racing a team member

You just feed into the whole frenzy, Jeff. Is there any way of saying what you wanted to without bashing DSR? I guess not. Throwing Don under the bus just shows a lack of class.

You could have explained your whole post without being derogatory to anybody..but you just had to go there.

This whole thread has pretty much sucked from the get go.
