GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 16, 2014 — After qualifying second for the NHRA Gatornationals, Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car driver Bob Tasca III was eliminated in the second round by fellow Ford pilot Robert Hight.

Smoked tires early caused Tasca in the right lane to post a 6.262-second, 111.01-mph run against Hight’s 4.140/306.05 effort in the left.
