TALLMADGE, OHIO— Performance and racing enthusiasts can make a six-second quarter-mile pass, run a dirt oval, and be a monster truck driver thanks to Summit Racing Equipment’s exciting new addition to its motorsports program: The Summit Racing Equipment Power Experience.
The Power Experience is an interactive, multi-media motorsports showcase that literally brings the sights, sounds, and movement of racing to select NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events, beginning with the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals at The Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada April 1-3.
“Fans will see, hear, and feel the raw power of drag racing, circle track competition, and jumping a monster truck in the Summit Racing Power Experience,” explained Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Motorsports Manager. “It’s so realistic, you can almost smell the gasoline and burning rubber!”
In the Driver’s Seat
The Summit Racing Power Experience features a theater with a 12 ft. screen and a 2,000 watt surround sound system. Fans sit in seven synchronized-motion seats to experience a six-second quarter-mile pass in 2010 Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson’s Pontiac GXP; sliding through the corners in an IMCA dirt track car; and crushing cars in the Summit Racing/BIGFOOT monster truck.
“As Real as it Gets”
Team Summit NHRA Pro Stock racers Greg Anderson and Jason Line helped set up the Summit Racing Power Experience. “The development team spent three days with us at a test session, hooking up cameras and microphones all over our Summit Racing Pontiac,” Greg Anderson explained, ”They captured the sights and sounds making a run in a Pro Stock race car—you’ll see just what I see.
Both drivers got a sneak preview of the completed project and give it a big thumbs-up.
“The Summit Racing Experience is an awesome ride--as real as it gets!” Greg Anderson said. “These incredible seats are going to give you the exact sensation we feel inside the race car. When you do the Summit Racing Power Experience, you better sit down, strap in and hang on!”
“One of the questions we get asked most often is what it feels like to drive our Summit Racing Pontiacs,” Jason Line added. “Thanks to the Summit Racing Power Experience, you can find out for yourself. You’ll know what it’s like to rocket down the quarter-mile, drift through the turns in a dirt car and crush cars in BIGFOOT. I can’t wait to take (my children) Jack and Emma for a ride!”
In addition to the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals, the Power Experience will be at the Summit Racing NHRA Southern Nationals, May 13-15 and the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, June 24-26.
