Substitute Drivers

I just noticed something: When Rit Pustari subbed for B.B. in the Bud King TF, they didn't switch the entry number over. R.P. ran with BB's "T/F 3" on the car.

As I understand the Rule Book, the number belongs to the driver, not the car, so it should have been changed to T/F 115 (Pustari's number).

Perhaps NHRA gave them a waiver since it was just a one-time deal?

The qualifying sheet on DRC has #115. I guess they didn't have to change the number on the car.

Competition number and licence number are the same, at least in Top Fuel. Rit

Yes we are working a couple of smaller deals that should allow us to finish the year at Vegas and Pomona. Wish I had deeper pockets, we would be out there full time. Anyone on this site know anyone who would like to become involved financially with a quality Top Fuel team? Rit
