Sad thing is that Scott told us that the NHRA told them to not bring it to any of their sanctioned tracks. Tried to show them that it had all the needed safety equipment and still was a hard "no." Bunch of party poopers I say.

A few years ago in the Zoo at Brainerd, Scott told me he had racetracks all over the world contacting him to have that car put on a show at their track.

He had it on display a couple years ago at the Texas Motorplex for the fall race then tested on Monday.

Maybe he should tour the car in Europe w/ another driver. Or run it as a transformer AA/FA.

Well it's nothing like a transformer though, it's a Pro Mod on fuel. Transformers are really FCs with a variety of altered bodies; T's, Bantam's etc.

I think he's having too much fun with it to farm it out....plus the throttle whacks are his signature.

I hope he can get the thing sorted out...there's a vid with it going downtrack but it's poor quality. Maybe start off on less % nitro and blower overdrive and then work up from there.....

This has been a project of Scott's for several years, I think this was only the 3rd & 4th pass he has made on it and the first in almost two years so there were a lot of new parts on the car and it just didnt hook but even when it only goes 5 ft that thing is still wicked awesome. He has said his goal with the car is to go 300 mph in a door car and be a first to do so. I believe he was also working with JR Sandlian on builiding a 70' Chevelle with a full top fuel setup and match race with it and that was his plan long before Tommy Thompson and the boat deal came about. He told me he had hundreds of offers to run this car from all over the country to Australia and parts of Europe and that was after only one pass in it.
