My local newspaper (Elgin, IL) had an Associated Press article. Headline stated "8 dead after street-racing accident". It didn't mention the words drag racing once in the article. It was written by Stephen Manning for AP.
I posted the above in one of the past Street Racing threads. Lo and behold, in my paper today there is a very large, well written article about the dangers of street racing written by the same journalist. Once again, he never mentions the words drag racing at all and stresses that this is an illegal activity. Kudos to Stephen Manning of the Associated Press. He gets it.
