Worked the first 2 Sportsnationals there in the mid 70s. Fortunate to be in the tower, as it was extremely HOT.

I love Beech Bend. Been to a couple of Hot Rod Reunions there, probably will be there this year too. It also wasn't that long ago that the starting line was 8 feet under water when the Barren River flooded.

Although I've been out of the seat for a while now, Bowling Green remains one of my favorite places to race. Love it down there.

Hi Mark. Never been to Beech Bend. Furthest east I've even been was Indianapolis. Not for the drags, was visiting. Got to take the tour of the Indy 500 track & see the museum. That place has a sense of history that I've never felt anywhere else. I've pretty much lived in Calif & Arizona my whole life, altho visited many places, none east of the Mississippi river.
