I know sponsorship dollars are hard to come by but this is crazy. She's cute, she's fast AND a legitimate championship contender given some financial backing. I would think sponsors would be knocking on her door at all hours. Thankfully she hasn't been overexposed like Danica or the Force girls but being a girl that can kick a guys ass on the track in what is arguably the most competitive class should very marketable. It sure gets my attention. So sad to see she's missing yet another race. :(

not only is erica missing, but that team behind her. the cagnazzi engine builders and crew have a top 5 tune up and no car to apply it. maybe victor needs to have a half price sale to attract more customers.:p

I think she is a lock to stay in the Countdown ... So I figure they will be at Indy and then run the Countdown races and see what happens in regards to the Championship. In that light, it is smart to save a few bucks now to make a charge later. Also, it gives the engine guys that much more time in the shop with the primary motors and Connolly that much more time to figure out the chassis setup.

At least this is what I HOPE is happening.

I was thinking the same thing as Chris. Larry Morgan, 12th in points,(Stanfield is 11th but is also parked) is 375 points behind her entering this weekend so she has a ton of flexibility and points to play with before going into the Countdown.

First, I like Erica..no complaints from me. if she saids that they don't have the money to race, then we have to take it at face value. In the meantime, like was said in another quote she is private when it concerns who is backing her, financially. In her interviews, all she saids is "we are working on a few deals". Can't take nothing away from her, she is a good driver and has good equipment under her. Once, they get this "problem" solved, she will be back in full force.

Another thing, all of those wanting WJ to hang it up,I hope you enjoy watching AJ making a rd 1 bye run. It amazes me that the calls for WJ to quit because he may not be on top of his game right now clap and cheer for the Greek when he runs. You better hope that one of P/S all time greats, his son and others get back out there or the class could become extinct due to the lack of participation.

100% agree. WJ is the last of the era when hard work rather than hard currency determined who was on top. Also love his pull no punches method of getting his point across. I miss those days of trash talking and rivalries. Maybe NHRA has become just a little too P.C. for it's own good. I think the drivers need to be more "real" in the pits rather than practiced and proper for TV to stir some interest. WJ is certainly one that can make that happen!

Bummer she and the Johnsons can't get some funding.
Seems odd not seeing them out there trying to get in the field.

I actually got a chuckle out of this comment!

The Greek is having the time of his life out there....you never hear him complaining about anything. He has the same reaction whether he wins or loses the round!

WJ on the otherhand, I don't think he knows how to do anything but complain! If he or his car doesn't perform, it's always someone else's fault. Now KJ is a different story........he tells it like it is, but is also straight up when it comes to the perfomance of him or his car.

That would be worth talking about if the reason people b!tched about his need to retire being because of his attitude, but that's not the case. They're usually calling for his retirement because the performance, be it the horsepower or his slow left leg. That alone validates what Mike is saying.

On that note, yeah, Warren does his share of complaining. But the highest percentage of the time what he says is usually right, people just don't want to hear it the way he says it. Don't mistake a lack of tact for whining.

Warren owes nobody..... ;)

Tell it like it is brother, those WJ haters just don't understand. I'll tell you this,I long for the days when WJ was really speaking his mind unlike the boring @$$ crap we're hearing now.:D

I haven't been the biggest WJ fan over the years.... however... WJ does speak his mind and there is little doubt where he stands on an issue
